Degustabox October 2019 Review by Your Food Fantasy

Degustabox Review – October 2019

Its almost Christmas time now, I mean almost..its cold outside and days are short. Do you like winters? Or are you like me, who look forward to British summer! October was a super busy month for me, with loads of Hindu festivals, including Diwali, this meant, I barely got chance to look inside Degustabox till it was November. Once I opened it, I was happy as ever, with same exciting feeling of opening a new Degustabox. The Review

I had a timely delivery from Degustabox and was kept informed of delivery steps by DHL.

Below is the detailed review of contents of the box in the sequence of products I tried.

Pip’s Real Hot Chocolate

These luxury chocolate coins were just amazing. No wonder these were awarded best luxury hot chocolate retailer in 2019. I got Orange, Hazelnut and Original coins in the box and I loved the Orange one most. These are also suitable for vegans and gluten free. These are marked to be sold for £1.50 which sounds steep, but for the quality, may be its is aptly priced.

Amy’s Kitchen

Got one can of organic, gluten free, dairy free vegetable and chickpea soup. This soup was not suited to my taste buds. It was very filling, though I had to top up with some spices to get the taste I need. Priced at £2.00, its less likely I will buy it again, nothing wrong here, but I have to accept that its not my taste.

Growers Garden Broccoli Crisps

These broccoli crisps are the best thing for me from October Box. I got three flavours of broccoli crisps, and all were having distinct broccoli flavour. These are fairly low in calories too. Each bag costs £1.29 and I will be looking forward to buy these.

Boost + Protein

Need easy protein? These Boost + Protein bars are the savour. With 12g of proteins in each bar, its great. These are not too costly either, barely £1.49 per bar. However, I did had a small personal concern, I do not like caramel, rest was all good. Recommended!

Are you a tea lover as much as I am? Tick Tock Tea is your answer! I received newly launched wellness tea in the box. I loved all three, Bounce, Balance and Bedtime teas. These green teas are my thing these days. Each box is priced at £2.05 and is available in waitrose and ocado. Nice tea!

Snatts Garlic & Parsley Snacks

Whitworths Shots Chocolate & Hazelnut

Loved these small packs of energy. These small packs contained nuts, dried fruits, seeds and chocolates. Just the kind of snack to pep you up. These are less than 100 Calories and I really liked these. RRP of £1.89 may sound little high, but is good product.

Maille Mustard with Honey

This was the first time I was trying this mustard with honey. Maille is surely a known brand in the market, but personally not a mustard fan hence never bothered to buy it. I used this as a condiment and it was all right. I mean, I can eat it, but I may not be tempted enough to go and buy, as I stated it is to do with my personal preference for mustard, rather than the product. The bottle shown costs £1.99.

Gourmet Drops Chocolate and Vanilla

Perfect! This was my thought after trying out these vegan gourmet drops in my coffee and baking. Less in sugar and great in taste. These are also fat free (as they claim). My only concern was pricing, the price tag of £3.99 felt too steep for me, however happy with these sugar alternatives.

Clarks Maple Syrup

Maple syrups is what I normally use on my pancakes or waffles. This one from Clarks tasted good and was less sticky. It is suggested to contain less sugar too. Being a veg friendly, I am liking this maple syrup and costs £2.00 for 180ml.

This savoury sweet tartare sauce is a surprise condiment. We finished off the whole bottle in matter of days. The luxury touch to the taste is welcome 🙂 Goes well with savouries for me and the bottle costs £1.99. I am in!
