Egg Bhurji or anda bhurji Recipe – The classic scrambled egg made with Indian spices. Egg lover? How do you love your eggs? Poached? Omelette? Boiled? Egg Curry? Half Fry or Scrambled? My diet was full vegetarian and then in 2012, I became eggetarian. There is a story on how and why I started eating eggs, maybe I will tell it in some other blog post. The bottom line is that now I have came a long way from not touching eggs, to loving eggs and having eggs in diet almost every second day. Cheesy Mushroom Broccoli Recipe

My daughter is a is cheese fan and I am not averse to it either. I love mushrooms and we, as a family love broccoli too. With these things in my mind, I always wanted to try out something like a french or italian cuisine and which led me to experiment. I have earlier mentioned that I love bruschetta con fughi.

So I decided to make something on those lines. If am honest, I am not sure how anyone else will feel about this recipe, but I loved the end product so did my family (and the guest who was my guinea pig) 😀

Food is undeniably one thing that binds the world. Food is also the same thing which separates the world. Each culture has its influence on its cuisine. If we talk of Indian cuisine itself, it is so widely diverse. South is famous for its curd rice concept, which would be normally frowned up on in north of India. Interestingly this yogurt based Colocasia aka Arbi or Arvi curry is from north, so same yogurt is happily accepted in a curry. Here is my recipe for dahi arbi or dahi wali arbi.

Punjabi Tinda Masala | Apple Gourd Masala recipe

Talking off the off beat vegetables, Tinda (टिंडा) stands out. It is also called “Indian squash”, “round melon”“Indian round gourd” or “apple gourd” or “Indian baby pumpkin”. Tinda is also called “tindsi” in Rajasthan part of India. When I was kid, I used to make faces thinking of eating Tinda, thanks to bad reputation it carries for no real reason. When I tasted tinda for the first time (force fed by mom), I was astonished to see how nice this vegetable is!
