Received my third Degustabox for October delivered a few weeks back, and here I am back with my impartial, honest and straight forward reviews for you. If you are new to degustabox, then let me explain what is it? Degustabox is a food subscription box service where it sends 10-15 items every month for only £12.99 a month (including free shipping). What more? I will share a nice discount code, which will further fetch you £5.00 discount, so your first box would be just £7.99. Remember you can cancel the subscription anytime, so worth the try for merely £7.99. Read on for the details.
I will start with checking what was inside October’s box, and what my thoughts are for all of these products!
Much like last time, the box came in neat packaging via DPD. I was informed well in advance about the delivery and DPD then offered me one hour slot closer to delivery time. Knowing when you going to get delivery is always good. Isn’t?
As soon as I opened the box, I was delighted to see a box packed with exciting things. I love how degustabox does the packing so neatly.
Below is the summary of items in the box that you will normally see with the box.
Below is the review of each item one by one in no specific order.
Jack Daniels Tennesse Honey & Lemonade
I got two cans of these in the pack and was tried by my partner and a friend on one Friday evening with some snacks. My partner loves his whiskey and he is into single malts, however surprisingly he liked this one. He liked the tinge of lemon with honey notes. According to him he don’t mind shelling 2 quid on this now and then.
Ahhaa! This was one great product in the box. Perfect to carry your breakfast anywhere you go. Great flavour, fibre and vitamin rich breakfast. Must admit that I did not try this on the go, rather at home only. Offered it to my 6 year old and she liked it, which means its approved 🙂 I am not sure on pricing though, may be I will pay £1.50-1.75 for this.
Yayy!!! This naturally sweetened non-alocoholic ginger beer was perfect for me to drink. It had clear notes of ginger and loved it during the evening on a tiring day. I wish I had one more bottle to be honest 🙂 For the recommended price of £1.19 its a winner. I am certain that if you buy pack of 4-6 from local grocers it will be even cheaper.
Tea as it should be! Thank you for sending this tea. I am a tea person and getting a quality tea was certainly nice 🙂
This tea is sourced ethically, which gives me a great satisfaction with each sip. I love my tea with milk and sugar, hence if you do the same, I can assure it tasted great. I must add, I did not try this without milk. £2.89 for pack of 80, I will say its fine as its good tea and hay, I got a free tea towel too. Thank you guys!
I got two bottles of this protein water. One was super lemon and other raspberry flavour. I have mixed views on this. Whilst personally I did not like it, my partner liked it. We had it chilled. What I did not like? Perhaps not my taste! What my partner liked? He liked that he can quench himself with vitamin infused water and keep himself hydrated. I felt £1.59 per bottle is about right price if you like this.
KitKat – Chunky Salted Caramel Fudge
Recently KitKat has launched this new range. My daughter grabbed it as soon as she saw it. She did not even share a bit of it 😀 She thoroughly enjoyed it, which only means it was great. At the rrp of £0.65p I will say it is good way to keep my daughter happy. I will likely buy it again.
I don’t eat pork hence I did not eat this, but offered it to a friend who is easy with Chorizo. According to him, he loved it, and making a dish out of it easy too. For someone who eats pork containing items, I guess this is a good buy and comes at rrp of £.175
A yummy fruity bar I will say. The one I got was moist berry bar, was nice in taste. One product I will recommend certainly. Its packed with energy and good for kids or anyone really, especially on the go. Priced at £0.70, its a good buy.
There was a box of Spoon Granola Cherry bomb and I surely was delighted to see this. I like granola cereals. Ever since it was in the box, I have had this in my breakfast a few times. Nice taste, and full of energy. This is what I expect in my breakfast 🙂 Its being sold at £2.99 in local grocery shops and I am looking forward to restock it.
I am a tea lover and getting two tea boxes in a single Degustabox was luxury 🙂 I like lemon tea too and as if someone was reading my mind. This lemon tea is premixed with lime and sugar, just add water and that is it! If you are like me who likes hot tea, add hot water. Life should be as easy as this cup of tea. With rrp of £.149, its yes from me.
Latin American Santa Maria Lime Sauce
Easy and simple to use, yielding yummy recipes. This is what I felt when I used this sauce. I added broccoli and mushrooms and that was pretty much it to get this scrumptious curry. I served this with noodle and was thoroughly enjoyed by us. For the price tag of £1.89, I will say its not bad. Give it a go!
Another box fill of surprises. Largely, I liked most of the products and again a bargain for £12.99. I will recommend subscribing to it (just for a month to begin with to see you like it) and with the discount code below the box goes down to only £7.99 for first month.

September 18 Degustabox Review
I was very kindly sent this box free of charge in exchange of a review. However, all opinions are 100% my own. Please note that if you go on to get a Degustabox, the contents in the box might vary slightly from mine.
