How I used to pester my parents to get me cake, and I used to be promised that I can get cake on special occasions, such as when I will top my exams. So much miss those childhood memories.

Recipe Notes
  • Baking the cake at right temperature is the key for a nice fluffy and soft cake.
  • I have used caster sugar for making cake which is a very fine form of sugar. So if you using other sugar like granulated sugar, please do adjust the amount of sugar to avoid it being too sweet.
  • Don’t leave the mixture out for long otherwise the cake won’t rise and be less fluffy.
  • Don't open the oven door often as this has adverse impact on the temperature of oven.
