Ingredients for Maggi Masala Noodles
1. Maggi (Obviously!)
Can you even make Maggi noodles without Maggi? The answer is a resounding no! But hey, if you’re feeling adventurous, substitute it with plain noodles from another brand. Since this recipe is all about veg Maggi masala, I stick to Maggi’s veggie-friendly version. Feel free to switch things up as per your taste buds’ demands.
2. Vegetables: The Supporting Cast
Veg noodles without veggies? That’s like a movie without side characters. Load it up with green peas, bell peppers, onions, and whatever other veggies you love. The more colorful, the better—it’s like giving your bowl a veggie makeover!
3. Maggi Masala: The Star of the Show
Ah, the iconic Maggi Masala packet—where all the magic happens. This little sachet of joy is what transforms plain noodles into a flavorful masterpiece. Skip it, and you’re missing the whole point!
4. Additional Spices: Because Drama is a Must
Red chilli powder for heat, turmeric for a golden glow, and a pinch of salt to balance it all out. These extras take your Maggi from meh to magnificent in minutes.
Method to make veg maggi noodles
1. Boil & Bubble: Start with 2 cups of water in a pan. Let it boil like your weekend plans. Then toss in the Maggi noodles. Hold back the masala packet like it’s your secret weapon.

2. Sauté Showdown: In a second pan, heat some oil. Throw in sliced onions and sauté till they look golden and smug. Add bell peppers and give them a good toss—think veggie party.

3. Veggie Invasion: To the sizzling mix, add peas, tomatoes, and green chillies. Stir with flair because you’re basically the Gordon Ramsay of Maggi now.

4. The Great Drain: Your noodles should be boiled by now. Pour them into a colander, then give them a quick cold water shower. (They deserve it after all that hot water drama.) This step keeps the stickiness at bay—just like a good conditioner for your hair.

5. Spice It Up: Add salt, turmeric, and red chilli powder to your veggie medley. Stir like you mean it.

6. The Grand Finale: Introduce the Maggi noodles to the veggie squad. Mix, sauté, and sprinkle the masala packet like confetti. Voilà, your Masala Maggi is ready to slay!
Pro Tips for best masala maggi
1. Chicken Lovers Unite: For non-veg enthusiasts, add tender chicken pieces for a protein-packed twist. Boil bite-sized chicken chunks for 7-8 minutes, then toss them in with the veggies. It’s like Maggi got a gym membership!
2. Veggie Wonderland: Get creative with seasonal veggies like cabbage or lettuce. Just ensure everything is cooked to perfection, so you don’t end up chewing like a cow on grass.
3. Healthier Option? Yes, Please!: Swap regular Maggi with whole wheat flour noodles for a slightly guilt-free indulgence. Your taste buds won’t even notice the difference (okay, maybe just a little).
4. Don’t Overboil, Please!: Maggi noodles are delicate divas. Stick to the cooking time, or they’ll break and sulk, leaving you with a soggy mess.
5. One-Pot Shortcut: Skip boiling the noodles separately if you’re feeling lazy. Add 1.5 cups of water directly to the sautéed veggies, toss in the noodles, and cook until the water evaporates. While this method saves time, some believe boiling them separately gives a better texture.
6. Masala Matters: Always sprinkle the Maggi Masala at the end for that punch of flavor. It’s like the mic drop moment of your dish!
7. The Secret Cool Rinse: If boiling noodles separately, rinse them with cold water to remove stickiness. Trust me, your noodles will thank you for the spa day.
8. Season Smart: Feel free to adjust spices. Red chilli too hot? Dial it down. Wan

Maggi Noodle Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 Packets Maggi Vegetable maggi
- 1 Onion Big size, thinly sliced
- 2 Tomatoes Small size, finely chopped
- 1/2 Cup Bell Pepper Chopped to small size
- 1/2 Cup Green peas Can use frozen
- 1 Green chilli Finely chopped
- 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Salt As per taste
- 1.5 Tbsp Oil
Instructions
- Keep 2 cup of water in a pan for boiling. Once it starts boiling, add Maggi keeping the maggi masala packet aside.
- Meanwhile, keep another pan on medium heat and add oil to it. Once warm, add sliced onion and sauté for a minute. Now add chopped bell pepper and sauté again for 2 minutes.
- To the sautéed peppers and onions, add green peas, chopped tomatoes and green chillies and sauté again.
- Maggie would be boiled by this time. Pour it into a colander so that all extra water drains and then pour 1 cup of cold water over it. This step helps in removing the stickiness of Maggie. Let water drain for 2 more minute.
- Add Salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder to the sautéed vegetables and sauté again for a minute. Now add boiled Maggie and start sautéing it so that it can mix well with the vegetables.
- Sprinkle the Maggie Masala now and mix it well. Switch off the flame and serve it hot.
Notes
- If you wish, you can add more vegetables like green beans, cabbage and carrots to your Maggi.
- You can skip the process of boiling Maggi separately. For this, add 1.5 cups of water to the sautéed vegetables and then add Maggie, and cook till all the water evaporates. I have made Maggi with both the recipes, somehow I like it more when boiled separately.
- You can try this same recipe with other noodles too.
- Some people try adding egg too, try that if you like egg.
