Less than 2 months before we call the year off. Never realised where this whole year went away in lockdown and in limited mobility. One thing, which did remain good during the whole year is the degustabox deliveries. Already got 9 boxes delivered to the door this year and Oct box shall be delivered in a week’s time.
What is Degustabox?
Degustabox is an online food subscription service in UK. Mostly ready to eat food items are delivered in a single box. Sometimes there are ingredients too to make fresh food.
Box costs £12.99 in subscription, and normally contain 10-13 different types of products. Products range widely, ranging from munchies, vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, meat based, alcoholic drinks, etc. The contents of box itself normally cost more than £22.50. What a bargain.
Please note this review is for the PR box I got and the box a normal subscriber gets will be little different.
So why Degusta box?
Degustabox is a food subscription service, with value for money, with no commitments. Monthly subscription is £12.99 and new member can use a code given below in this post, which brings the first month’s cost to £10.99. Products value normally superceeds the cost of subscription.
Degusta box delivery
Delivery of degusta box is done by a trusted fulfilment partner, i.e. DHL or similar. I was kept informed when the box will be delivered and I had choice to re-schedule the delivery too.
Detailed review of September 2020 box
Hartley’s Jelly Pots
Got three raspberry flavoured jelly pots in the September box and what a delight for both of my kids. My kids love jelly and this one was no exception, they loved this one too. Great flavour and happy faces. Each pot costs £0.55 or 3 pots for £1.65. With less than 100 cals per pot, its great to include in school time snacks. I am pleased with it.

McVitie’s V.I.Bs
I had couple of biscuits to myself from the pack. Biscuits taste all right. I got blood orange flavour biscuits. More than me, my partner loved these biscuits. As they say, Very Important Biscuits, these are pretty good biscuits. A pack costs £1.79, I will prefer to give a little less for this, more like £1.59 or so. Try our the new range if you have not already.

Peter’s Yard Sourdough Crispbread
This small crispbread was tasty and paired well with cheese, however it did not last for long. It may not have been sent to regular customers, and was good to get my hands to this. 105g pack is available for £2.95 across numerous UK food retailers. It’s definitely a great crispbread, though little pricy.

Emily Veg Thins
I am familiar with Emily range. Seeing two packs of these in the box was a little joy. Used up the packs on a Friday night with dips. Great in taste and suits me, who love vegan food. These are gluten-free too and high in fibre, as well as source of protein. Each pack costs £0.79 and available at Waitrose, Ocado and Amazon.

Amy’s Kitchen Veg Barley Soup
Amy’s kitchen is known for its soups. This one made from organic vegetables and barley is very much filling. I personally prefer spicy soups and hence my partner had this soup. He was full with this soup, however he was not sure if he wants to purchase the same one again, especially with the rrp of £1.89. I will still recommend this to be tried.

Naked – Chicken Yakisoba
Naked noodles are good ! I have had them in past and this new range of Japanese Chicken Yakisoba does not disappoint either. Hubby had this one and he was happy. He stir fried it with portion of chicken breast and had as his meal. This is now available at Tesco and costs £1.00 for the pack. I will recommend it.

RHYTHM108 Almond Bar
A great munch! This oat flour bar made with almond butter tasted brilliant. Just shear good taste. The pack costs £1.49 and is available widely in UK. I will be looking to buy more of these as handy munch on the go. The bar is gluten-free, vegan and organic too.

Thatchers Cloudy Lemon
A great cider. Thatchers holds a good name in cider and this one made from apple and lemon makes a great refreshing cider, especially on a hot day. While its onset of Autumn, the taste of cider does not disappoint. A pack of 4 would cost £5.50 and is available at all major supermarkets in UK.

Nakd Drizzled Chocolish Bars
If you love chocolate and looking for healthier alternative, here it is. These are fruits and nuts with chocolate drizzled over it and has no added sugar. The multi-bar pack of 4 costs £3.00 and what a great munch it is. Totally loving this one. I am looking to order more packs soon.

Whitworths Chocolate Biscuit & Hazelnut Treat Mix
Being a vegetarian myself, I get excited seeing vegetarian or vegan content and this one is vegetarian. A great little treat which was shared by whole family. Hazelnuts and raisins with chocolate biscuits were welcome in the pack. The pack costs £2.00 and is available in ASDA. Nice pack to share.

Lucozade Revive
The very household name of Lucozade is here with new flavour. Sparkled water which is super refreshing was enjoyed by hubby. The flavour of passionfruit with orange did the trick for him. The bottle costs £1.49 and is available in major supermarkets in UK.

Fulfil Chocolate Hazelnut Whip bar
Another bar in the degustabox. Chocolate and hazelnit flavours. This is bit magical bar with high protein and vitamins. This small bar is wonder bar. It costs £2.00 for the pack, and would recommend if you looking for energy boost.

St Lawrence Gold Pure Canadian Maple Syrup
For the maple syrup, there is this new maple syrup. Small bottle and great taste is how I describe it. I had it as topping on my pancake as well as on granolas. The bottle costs £1.00 and is available in Ocado, Booths, etc.
