Degustabox Review – November 2020

I am back with review of Degustabox. Last month was super busy and can’t wait for December holidays. I did not publish the review of October box, but here is the review of November box. Are you waiting for Christmas too? Well before that I am waiting for my December degustabox to be delivered. Btw are you checking my Instagram? I have shared Advent Calendar too, one of the best you will see, delivered by Degustabox!

So what is Degustabox?

Degustabox is an online food subscription service in UK. Mostly ready to eat food items are delivered in a single box. Sometimes there are ingredients too to make fresh food.

Box costs £12.99 in subscription, and normally contains 10-13 different types of products. Products range widely, ranging from munchies, vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, meat based, alcoholic drinks, etc. The contents of box itself normally cost more than £22.50. Can you beat this?

Please note this review is for the PR box I got and the box a normal subscriber gets will be little different.

So why Degusta box?

Degustabox is a food subscription service, with value for money, with no commitments. Monthly subscription is £12.99 and new member can use a code given below in this post, which brings the first month’s cost to £10.99. Products value normally supersedes the cost of subscription.

Degusta box delivery

Delivery of degusta box is done by a trusted fulfilment partner, i.e. DHL or similar. I was kept informed when the box will be delivered and I had choice to re-schedule the delivery too.

Strings and Things Wintershapes

Very much Christmas theme based shapes and same good old taste of strings and things. The pack was relished by my daughter. The pack was not part of the box, but was given a redeemable voucher, which I used up at Tesco. Pack would otherwise cost £1.50, which in my view is ok.

Maille Dijon Original Mustard

I must confess I am not a mustard person. I shared the bottle with a friend. She loved the taste and freshness to it. She used it as salad dressing. The bottle costs £1.99 and though I did not personally ate it, I loved the fragrance of it. Try it if you are a mustard person.

Wolf Blass Wines

Christmas season on! Even if it was not christmas season, I love wines. Got two bottles of wines. One was yellow label chardonnay and other was cabernet sauvignon. Both wines were enjoyed with full pleasure alongside dinner. The fruity flavour and fragrance caught me. Each bottle is priced at £2.25 and in my view worthy!

Kind Bars

I am definitely a “kind bar” lover. Have tasted a few of these, I do look forward for new kind bars, hence seeing these bars in the box was a delight. I got two bars of these in the November box (shhhh I got one more in advent calendar today). These bars are perfect munch and easy to carry. These bars have prices ranging from £1.30 to £1.99. Try them out!

Zest Coriander and Basil Pesto

Ok so what are my favourite flavours? These are Coriander and Basil! I use both of these in their raw form in my cooking. A pesto from these two is a delight for me. These are vegan, gluten-free and simply delicious. The jar costs £2.20 and is rightly priced. I used this pesto on my salad as well as in pasta. Shear joy!

Pip’s Real Hot Chocolate

Chocolate lover? Raise hand! A small pouch of chocolate to give you great chocolate drink. Aadya, my daughter, grabber it and had it as her drink. No major words to describe, just happy faces. The pouch costs £1.00, which seems ok, but can do if it was any cheaper.

La Boulange´re Plain Brioche Baguettes

These plain broiche baguettes were the pick of the box for me. Loved the softness, and the taste. These were pre-cut, just add the filling and have it. I wish box had more of these (of greedy me!). The pack contains 4 and cost £1.50. Definitely recommending these.

If there is one thing which my 2 year old loved from the box, then it is this. He calls these mini waffles as cookies. If am honest, I too liked these. Its family favourite in a way, however letting kids relish it. The pack costs £1.30 and I am certainly buying them again from either Sainsburys or Ocado.

Clipper Tea

Ok if you are tea lover and really want to get in the festive mood, check out these ambrosial tea packs. An assortment of tea packs and all flavours were great (yet to finish the pack). The pack which contains about 24 pouches costs £4.99 and I am very much pleased with this tea. With 24 packs it makes an advent calendar on its own. How cool?!
