Wake me up when September arrives..! September is here and how! Seems like whole year has been spent under lockdown and this also completes two years of me receiving Degustaboxes. If you have been a regular follower and read my posts, then you already know what is degustabox and the benefits of it. For all new members, please read on.
What is Degustabox?
Degustabox is an online food subscription service in UK. They deliver surprise food box every month. The products in the box are combination of well known products in market or new products yet to hit the shelves.
Box costs £12.99 in subscription, and normally have 10-13 different types of products (Check my old reviews to find details of old boxes). Products range from munchies, vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, meat based, alcoholic drinks, etc. The contents of box itself normally cost more than £22.50, hence its a bargain. Please note this review is for the PR box I got and the box a normal subscriber gets will be little different.
What is subscription service?
Subscription based model is common these days. It is a service where you pay to receive goods / service at regular intervals. I recently bought a printer and that too had the ink subscription service. Some of these services have a contract duration and some are on monthly contract only, i.e. if you don’t like them, then move on with no commitments, Degustabox is one such service, which does not tie its consumers into monthly service.
So why degusta box?
Degustabox is a food subscription service, with value for money, and zero commitments. Monthly subscription is £12.99 and new member can use a code given below in this post, which brings the first month’s cost to £10.99. Products value normally superceds the cost of subscription.
Degusta box delivery
Delivery of degusta box is done by a trusted fulfilment partner, i.e. DHL or similar. You are kept informed when the box will be delivered and you can re-schedule the delivery too.
Detailed review of Aug 2020 box
Swisse Me Smoothie
Smoothie on the go! That’s my kind of thing. I was not aware that such drinks exist. I have been fan of these pouches and used it outside UK. Getting a pouch of this in the August box was fabulous. I got Mango smoothie in the box and what better way to get introduced to this, considering I love mango in any form! Absolutely loved it. Each pouch costs £1.80 for 120ml, which I would feel little high, though no compromise on quality.

Pick Up Chocolate Bars
If you like chocolate between biscuits, this one is for you. I have had these bars in past and my daughter, the one who eats these bars, loved them. The bite makes you feel crunchy on the surface and then burst of chocolate in the mouth, in each morsel. Single bar costs £0.40 and pack of 5 costs £1.69 and I feel its good value for money. These are available in numerous UK superstores, such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s. Go ahead and try this out.

Drink Me Chai Latte
Chai lover? I love my tea with milk and this chai latte is great! I have had this chai in past too so I knew what I am getting. This spiced chai is for anyone who loves spicy masala chai. This chai is gluten-free and suitable for vegetarians too. I can’t get enough of this chai! Truly love this chai. Each sip is so satisfying.

Master Cafe Iced Coffee
Probably one of the best iced coffee on the go. This pre-packed coffee is for those who can’t go to fresh coffee counter and want to enjoy coffee anytime and any day. I got classico sent to me in the box and really loved the flavour. I will be ordering this again from amazon or snaxemporium.com, each can costs £1.50 and I feel this price is ok. May be you should try it too !

Sunny Fruit Mix-Ups
Look at the picture below and see the joy my daughter had with these variety pack of fruit packs. She absolutely loved these! The pack contained a good few of these and with differing flavours with no added sugar. This is her snack now a days when I pick her from school. The pack comes with a rrp of £2.00 and I believe I am ok with the pricing. These packs are available in most of the UK super markets.

Swizzels Puds
The small chewy bits seemed good. Very much loved by the kids. A few good flavours there, like rhubarb, lemon, sticky toffee etc. It was so much loved that I am ordering new pack now. With the price of mere 1 quid, you can’t go wrong. Give it a try, these are vegan too. Available in morrisons, home bargains, etc.

Twinings Cold Infuse
Stay hydrated is my reminder to myself! Seeing twinings cold infuse packs in the degustabox was great. Ever since I opened the pack, I have been drinking one tea pack a day. I will fill the bottle with water and add the tea bag into the water. That’s it. I love the flavour too. The pack costs £3.79 and I will buy it again. This is available in most of UK supermarkets. This cold tea is so refreshing.

The Great British Porridge Co.
Schools have commenced now and with it comes the usual hustle bustle of life. Most of the times, I will give porridge in breakfast to my daughter and finding a good quality porridge in the degustabox, was good. This healthy, tasty and instant porridge was loved by my daughter, who had it for her breakfast. The pouch costs £1.50 and I can do with little less price. Otherwise a great porridge and its dairy free too.

Boundless Activated Snacking
Do you like snacking? Well, who does not? I never had this boundless thing. I loved the flavours there. The unique combination of rosemary and cayenne. Its sweet but spicy, its very unique. Great munch! It costs £1.50 and is available at John Lewis. Holland & Barrett, Sainsbury’s etc. I will suggest that try it out to find the unique taste and kind of addictive.

Trek Salted Caramel Bar
Do you like caramel taste? If yes, then Trek’s caramel protein flapjack bar is for you. These are plant based and have 9g of proteins, which is great for snacking. Personally, none of us in family love caramel so much. My hubby and daughter did eat this, and were happy, but owing to caramel aversion, am not sure if I will buy these again. I can definitely recommend for caramel lover. The pack costs £2.50 and is available at Ocado, Amazon, Tesco, etc.

RXBAR
Degustabox never fails to send a protein bar in the box. This time around it was RXBAR protein bar. It is something new to me. I got one with Peanut Butter Chocolate. I tasted a bit of it and was ok for me, however as usual my peanut butter loving daughter, loved it. Each bar costs £2.50, however is fully packed with energy. I will be interested to try out other flavours too.

Capsicana Maxican Cooking Paste
Surprise cooking paste. I love chilli in my food. This one just offered the right taste. I used the paste to stir fry potato and bell-peppers. It tasted very much like chilli paneer (minus paneer). Its pretty handy paste for the days when you do not want to do elaborate cooking. The pouch costs £1.50 and is yes from me. Happy cooking!

Simpleas Pea Powered Curls
Flavours in a packet. These nice munchies are vegan, gluten-free, bursting with protein and also baked. These are barely 88cals per pack. Family loved the taste, I loved the less calories. A big yes and try it out for £1.09 from WH Smiths, Skinny Food Company or Farm shops across UK.
