This process of cooking yields a dry dish which can be used as a side dish or can be consumed with naan bread. Here today am sharing this simple and quick spicy chicken liver fry recipe. It is also referred as chicken liver masala.

What is chicken liver?

Chicken liver is not red meat nor white meat, it is rather qualified as organ meat aka offal. Organ meats have massive nutritional value. If one was to eat organ meat, they will be doing overdose of required nutrients.

Since liver is heavy to digest, you need to be careful what other things do you consume along with it. Talking about the nutritional value of chicken liver, it is high protein content, along with sodium, potassium, vitamin-a, vitamin-c, iron, and many others, which are good for health. At the same time key thing to note is that it also has high cholesterol, so do take care on quantity you eat.

Per 100grams of chicken liver, it contains 167Cals, total fat of 4.8g and saturated fat of 1.6g. Protein content is 24.5g, making it a great source of protein.

This recipe of chicken liver fry is an attempt by him to satisfy his lust for chicken livers.

Method

  1. Wash and cut the liver into cubes. Now add ginger garlic paste, salt, lemon juice, red chilli, turmeric powder, garam masala and coriander powder and set aside for 15 mins to marinate.
  2. Heat oil in a tawa or a flat pan and add cumin. Add onion and saute till little brown. Subsequently add tomatoes and let this cook to take away the crunchiness or raw tomatoes.
  3. Top up with chicken liver.
  4. Mix and fry on a low heat for 3-4 mins. Add a bit of water and mix it thoroughly. Cover the lid and every 3 mins mix it, ensuring liver is not sticking to the pan. Check that liver cuts smoothy to know that its cooked.

Ingredients
  

  • 400 Grams Chicken Liver Cut into cubes
  • 2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Onions Medium Size – Finely Chopped
  • 1 Tomato Medium Size – Finely Chopped
  • 10 ML Lemon Juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder As Per Taste
  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1.5 Teaspoon Salt As Per Taste
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnishing (Optional)
  • Lemon Wedges For Garnishing (Optional)
  • Ginger Juliennes For Garnishing (Optional)
  • 2 Green chillies For Garnishing (Optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil

Instructions
