Corn On The Cob Recipe

Have you been to Nandos? Though mostly known for its peri peri lip smacking chicken recipes. It is one of my favourite food joint too. I like the veg options there, whilst my family feasts on chicken. Immaterial of what we eat as main course, whole family loves Nandos corn on the cobs. This led me to explore (and experiment) doing something similar and make nandos style corn on the cobs.

I have always loved eating corn the typical Indian way by roasting corn on fire, then applying lemon and salt. That tastes just divine on a rainy day, however when I ate corn on the cob at Nandos, I discovered this new unique taste.

Needless say that corn is gluten free and this make the recipe as gluten free too. For vegans, they can opt for vegan friendly butter.

Corn is good for health, as it is good antioxidant and is loaded with lutein and zeaxanthin, two phytochemicals that facilitate healthy vision.

I love this recipe as this recipe does not require a list of ingredients and complexity level of this recipe is absolutely trivial. All you need is corn on the cob, bit of butter and salt. Can it get any easier and simpler?

In case you like corns, you may also try these baby corn recipes which I call as “young corns”, as they are plucked when corn is young. Baby corn is super healthy food as well. I have in past made Baby Corn Satay – a perfect starter and Baby Corn Masala – baby corn coated nice smooth gravy.
