Degustabox September 2018 Review & Coupon Code

Got my second Degustabox for September delivered couple of weeks back, and here I am back with my honest and impartial reviews for you. If you are new to degustabox, then let me explain what is it? Degustabox is a food subscription box. It sends 10-15 items every month for only £12.99 a month plus free shipping! I will share a nice discount code, which will further fetch you £5.00 discount, so your first box would be just £7.99. Remember you can cancel the subscription anytime, so worth the try for merely £7.99. Read on for the details.

Let’s commence with checking what was inside September’s box, and what my thoughts are for these products!

The review

As usual, the box came in neat packaging via DPD. I was informed well in advance about the delivery and DPD then offered me one hour slot closer to delivery time. I don’t like waiting for whole day for a parcel, hence 1hr delivery slot was nice 🙂

As soon as I opened the box, I was delighted to see a box packed with exciting things. But as they say, don’t go with cover, see under the hood. So I have tried each and every item. Continue scrolling down to find out what all was in box and what I feel about each of these items.

Now is the time for me to share my honest views on each of these products sequently in no preference order.

A2 Milk

This is well known long life milk.

I normally take fresh milk, but when I tried this long life milk from A2, I felt there no compromise on taste and I can keep it stocked for any emergency usage. It seem to be easy to digest and more friendlier for milk averse people. I can’t much on that part, except that I was comfortable with the milk and with £1.50 RRP, I will think its priced ok (considering if its giving all good A2 vitamins).

Jules Destrooper

This classic butter biscuit was an instant hit with my family.

These are light weight biscuits and tastes super buttery. I loved this taste, and these don’t make you feel bloated. These are almost melt in mouth biscuits. Its a yes from me for RRP of £1.80 per pack.

Dr. Kargs

Dr Kargs are known for crispy snacks. The pack which I received was a crunchy pack of whole grain snack. These were extremely light weight and super crunchy & delicious. Before I could enjoy this lot with my tea, my daughter said she needs it this in her snacks box for school. So was put for best use. Question is will I buy it for RRP of £1.60? Answer is easy, “Hell yeah!” Give it a go when you can from local grocery store.

Jack Daniels Cider

Surprise surprise! This was a pleasant surprise for my hubby who loves cider. Till he saw this Jack Daniel’s cider, he was not even aware that JD does a cider. In his own words, this cider had crisp apples, wooden notes and subtle flavour hints of Jack Daniels aromas and the taste works reasonably well. I suppose its available at Amazon, Tesco, etc, for £2.00-£2.99. Worth a try for JD fans.

Yes Snacks

The box had three snacks bar. Difficult to choose which one of these were best. All were so good. Loved nut as well as fruit bar. If I have to choose one of three, I will go for beetroot one. But trust me all are good. My daughter equally loved it. Nut one is protein rich and fruit is really fruity. For rrp of £1.20 each, I think these are fairly priced and I will buy it for sure.

Good Hemp Seed Hearts

Wow! Just Wow! Where was this till now? Absolutely delicious and bursting with protein, omega 3 and fibre rich. I have had it on yogurt, in my salad and over soup. These seeds never failed to entice me. Well done you guys!

Juicy Cola

This is something new, I was not even aware that such thing exists. If you looking for a twist to normal cola flavour (rather than diet coke), you can try this. It is fruit flavoured cola. It is said to not contain any sugar. I can only vouch on the taste, which was liked by my partner but not by me. So choose your pick. With the price tag of £1.50, I will probably skip (selfishly as I did not like myself).

Cadbury Oreo Hot Chocolate

This was instant hit with my daughter who loves chocolate in any form and shape. Easy to make, just pour in hot water. The taste of this is close to an American cookie. Now that the box is almost done by my daughter she wants another one. so surely this has hit right spot for her. With a price tag of £2.99, I feel its marginally dearer, but I will recommend it to hot chocolate lovers.

GoChocChick Cocoa Nibbles

I am not new to these nibbles, these are absolutely yummy nibbles to spread over salad or munch on the go. These are organic cocoa nibbles. Bear in mind that if you don’t like cocoa flavour, you will not like it as these may taste bitter to you. Liked by my family 🙂 With RRP £1.85 I felt its steep for this tiny packet. Note that they have changed the packaging now, so you will find it in new attractive packing.

Mallow and Marsh Raspberry Marshmallows

These are dark chocolate wrapped Raspberry flavoured marshmallows. This was tasted by a friend of mine (My family do not eat beef and it had beef gelatine), but the feedback was, its amazing. The words were “Its a chocolate fruit delight”. I can’t say if I will recommend these or not, for obvious reasons. However if you were to go with what my friend said, you could buy these for price tag of £2.50 per pack.

Indie Bay Pretzel Bites

A small pack of BBQ flavoured bites, I am not sure if I liked it. I would say, I will pass it next time. Nothing wrong with the product, these are small crunchy bites, just that I am not a BBQ flavour fan. No one in my family liked it as such 🙁 Even with RRP of £0.99, I don’t think I will be able to buy this.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

Oh these are lovely butter cups. Perfect for that “little hungry” mood. A pack comes with three pieces and we gobbled it immediately 🙂 I have known these for sometime now, and get it from local grocery store. With RRP of £0.89 they are about ok, but I do get it cheaper locally. I am sure you will like it if you love butter flavour coupled with chocolate.
