DEGUSTA-BOX August 2021 REVIEW

It’s review time and I am back with the review of one of my favourite monthly subscription boxes i.e. Degustabox! Blimey! It’s almost middle of September and we are itching closer to Christmas. I can’t believe that I am talking about Christmas already, where has this year gone? Without much ado, I shall share my unbiased thoughts about the contents of Degusta box which I got in August.

Looking for food subscription box? Degustbox can be your answer.

In case you are unfamiliar to Degustabox, Degustabox, is a monthly food box subscription service. Degustabox normally will contain 10-15 food items per month and comes with the subscription cost of £12.99. Most products have reasonable long shelf life (or at least couple of weeks, if its short shelf life item). It does not have any tie-ins and easy to cancel, if you do not like it, simple! Please note Degustabox now offers two other variants too, Degustabox cold and Degustabox select.

Detailed review of August 2021 Degustabox

August month’s degustabox was all about “Back to school & on the go”, a reminder of school opening in September.

Following is the summary of the contents in the box.

Virtue Drinks

Its a clean healthy energy drink. It suggests that it has zero cals and no sugar. I got one can of virtue drink in degustabox, it had berry flavour. I won’t claim that having a sip made me feel heavenly, etc. It was good though, and did feel me energised, just what it is supposed to do, liked the flavour too. These are available at Amazon, Holland & Barrett, Crush, Planet Organic and Ocado. Each can costs £1.50

If you like peanut butter and want a punch of chocolate, this new skippy peanut butter choc chip swirl is for you. It has smooth and creamy feel to it. Normally PB is not something which is welcomed at my home, however addition of choc chips, made this a good surprise. The bottle costs £2.65 and a true PB lover will like it. This is available at Morrisons and Ocado.

This ultimate energy bar is perfect for energy boost on the go. I got two of these bars in the degustabox, one was white chocolate and macadania, and other being crunchy peanut butter. I liked the white chocolate one more. Pricing of these bars is very competitive, with 28g bar costing £0.75p and 68g bar costs £1.69. Clifbar comes in 6 flavours (I am yet to try rest of 4 flavours).

Cirio Pasta Sauce Ragus

I would have loved to try this pasta sauce, as I frequently make pasta at home, however, the bottle I received in the August Deguatabox contained beef and pork, I do not eat either, hence can’t add any personal comment here. I gave away the bottle to a friend. Each jar has rrp of £2.00 and seems rightly placed. These are available at Ocado. I do wish that I had got the mushroon and grilled peppers one, more suiting to my diet.

I never knew such brand existed prior to finding these packs in the degustabox. Thank you for sending these in the box, Degustabox team. These fruits bites are low in cals and full of fibre. I received one of these packs. The pack costs £1.99 and I felt it was little too high in cost, may be I could do these being at £1.50. I can however, not fault with the quality here.
