Detailed review of August 2021 Degustabox
August month’s degustabox was all about “Back to school & on the go”, a reminder of school opening in September.
Following is the summary of the contents in the box.
Its a clean healthy energy drink. It suggests that it has zero cals and no sugar. I got one can of virtue drink in degustabox, it had berry flavour. I won’t claim that having a sip made me feel heavenly, etc. It was good though, and did feel me energised, just what it is supposed to do, liked the flavour too. These are available at Amazon, Holland & Barrett, Crush, Planet Organic and Ocado. Each can costs £1.50
If you like peanut butter and want a punch of chocolate, this new skippy peanut butter choc chip swirl is for you. It has smooth and creamy feel to it. Normally PB is not something which is welcomed at my home, however addition of choc chips, made this a good surprise. The bottle costs £2.65 and a true PB lover will like it. This is available at Morrisons and Ocado.
This breakfast drink from UP&GO is such a life saver on the weekday mornings. Now that school’s have commenced, these drinks offer quick fix for breakfast, for kids especially. I got the Banana & Honey pack of 3. Kids loved the taste and I am going to order more now. These drinks contain protein, fibre & calcium and some sugar too. A single unit costs £1.00 and £2.75 for pack of three.
Perfect for snacking! These are yummy fruity bites, which contains nothing but fruit. I got a pack of strawberry bites, which makes up for less than 50Kcal and is 100% tasty. This pack costs £1.50 and is available at Sainsbury’s, Amazon, amongst others.
A delicious frothy coffe with the touch of salted caramel, a perfect coffee for a warm day. I am personally not too much a coffee person, however, even I liked this coffee, which simply explains this is good coffee. The pack costs £2.98 and is available in most of the super markets.
How good are these zero salt stock cubes? I am all in for these, I love knorr stocks, especially the veg ones and these. I used these stocks in my curry and it tasted just awesome! The pack costs £1.49 and I feel the pricing is ok. These are available at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, Waitrose and Ocado.
This ultimate energy bar is perfect for energy boost on the go. I got two of these bars in the degustabox, one was white chocolate and macadania, and other being crunchy peanut butter. I liked the white chocolate one more. Pricing of these bars is very competitive, with 28g bar costing £0.75p and 68g bar costs £1.69. Clifbar comes in 6 flavours (I am yet to try rest of 4 flavours).
I would have loved to try this pasta sauce, as I frequently make pasta at home, however, the bottle I received in the August Deguatabox contained beef and pork, I do not eat either, hence can’t add any personal comment here. I gave away the bottle to a friend. Each jar has rrp of £2.00 and seems rightly placed. These are available at Ocado. I do wish that I had got the mushroon and grilled peppers one, more suiting to my diet.
Do you like cinnamon rolls? This pack of cinnamon rolls won’t disappoint you. These rolls look small though are very filling and had great treat too. Perfect for breakfast or snack. I had couple of these on a go (difficult to stop at one), whole family loved these cinnamon rolls. The packs costs £1.70, and are available countrywide at Tesco, Asda and Ocado.
I never knew such brand existed prior to finding these packs in the degustabox. Thank you for sending these in the box, Degustabox team. These fruits bites are low in cals and full of fibre. I received one of these packs. The pack costs £1.99 and I felt it was little too high in cost, may be I could do these being at £1.50. I can however, not fault with the quality here.
Oreo is a household name across the world now and people have used these cookies for various thinks, including cakes and shakes. Finding two new packs of oreo cookies in the degustabox was pleasant surprise for sure. Just the perfect taste and loved by whole family. These are reasonably priced at £1.08 for the pack of 154grams. Definitely one for Oreo lover!
I am in hate love relationship when it comes to cereals, either I love them or I hate them. These wholewheat shreddies are the one I loved. Less sugar and energy booster in my morning these days. The pack costs £2.50 and is available at Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose as well as Ocado.
Overall, August degustabox had great contents, varying from few new names to old established household names. I loved the contents (most of them) of this degustabox. Any surprises?
