Degusta box Review – January 2020

Here comes the first box of Degustabox and here comes my review of the box. Got the box delivered around 21st of January and I had been back from my holidays recently, I was totally occupied with unpacking, laundry etc. Gradually got to try around the contents of the box, some of the things in the box won my heart, some were like…hummm…ok can be better.

The Review

The theme of the box was “breakfast on the go”. Below is the detailed review of contents of the January Degustabox in the sequence of products I tried. I have said in past too, but to repeat myself, saying it once more that I get influencer / blogger box and I normally get all the variants of products (alcoholic / alcoholic) as well as all the variety of given product (e.g. if a tea is sent in the box, I may get all flavours to try), but a normal subscriber may have somewhat different contents.

Eat Natural

This simply vegan peanut, coconut and chocolate bar was a great way to start the box with. A great munchie on the go. Being vegan is always welcome for me, and the coconut and chocolate added to the desired flavour. The bar costs £1.00 and I am ready to pay this.

Wholesums

One of the finest crisps for sure. These are low in calorie too, though still retaining the taste. These crisps are vegan and gluten free too. Wholesome goodness from wholesums. Only thing which I did not like was the price £1.75 per pack, pretty steep, though I may still go for it.

Whitworths

Not new to whitworths products. Having tried its shot pack earlier too, this one with berry & white chocolate, did not come as huge surprise. Of course its a nice munchy pack. Best part is its only £1.60 for 4 packs, so its again a yes from me. A great on the go munchie.

Chescots

Something new in the box, never had this. Its porridge! Two super yummy boxes of ready to make porridge. Both boxes were vegan, gluten free and dairy free. Liked both the boxes for my breakfast. Each box comes with the price tag of £1.99. So if you not offended by price tag, go for these boxes.

Kallo

One of the best items in the box. Loved by my 7 year old and also by 18 months old! What else can I ask for? Light and flaky, made with organic honey. Yes, yes and yes! The pack costs £1.89 and I will look to buy some more of these for my kids. Thank you, Degustabox.

Crafted Blueberry & Blackberry fruit juice drink

The refreshing drink was nice. It was nice as it had great flavour, no added sugar and vegan. Only concern, it did not last long! 😀

Will certainly look to buy more of these. Pricing is little higher in my view, which is £1.50 for a small pack, but taste wins.

Bounce Energy Balls

Don’t remember if I had tried them before. It was delicious and had great protein content, 13g. It seemed like a small pack, but left me pleasantly surprised. Costs £1.79 per pack, which may seem too much, but I guess its worth a try.

PrepCo Pots

I got sent across two pots in the box. One was Indian Rice and other Thai green curry. I liked both. They were not exception in my view, but great for having a quick meal. I did need to add salt little more to suit my taste. Best part is how convenient these are to make. Just add hot water, let it settle and stir. The pot comes at a price of £2.00

Kit Kat Chunky More & Yorkie More

Two exciting new things from Nestle. Kitkat had Raspberry and Hazelnut while Yorkie had oats. Daughter liked both, but more so Kitkat. Each bar is priced at £1.29 and is reasonable. Both bars are flavourful and filling.

Zest Vegan Basil Pesto

A great flavourful pesto, and is free from cheese too. Love the fact that its vegan. Its another great product from the Degustabox. Certainly loved this pesto. It is available from local superstores in UK and amazon. Costs £2.20 for the small bottle. Recommended!

Nescafe Gold Almond Latte

Love a good latte? Can’t take dairy products? Here is Nescafe gold almond latte, which is dairy free. Simply add hot water, stir and a good creamy latte is ready. Personally I am a huge tea person, but I don’t mind coffee now and then. This one ticked for me. I am with yes for this, with the price tag of £2.98.

Sun-Pat Peanut butter

If you are a peanut butter person, you got to try these butter variants from Sun-Pat. A great source of protein and eat it the way you like. Be it by spreading on the bread, adding to smoothie bowl or just digging in the spoon. My daughter is a huge fan of this. A 200g bottle costs £1.79 which seems fine to me.

Another box of surprise, most of these were great products, and as you can see for only £12.99 it provides goods worth lot more. I will recommend you to go ahead and try a box to begin with, especially as you can use promo code of “MB6LZ” and get the box for only £7.99. After using first box decide if you want to continue receiving or not. Cancellation is always easy, just in case you change your mind.

Kindly note that for reviewing the products, I have been given this box free by Degustabox team, however views here are purely mine and not influenced by anyone.
