Its been a couple of months I visited a local Thai restaurant, and had Pad Thai. Ever since then I had idea brewing in my mind to create something which is a good fusion of Indian and Thai cuisine. Both these cuisines have distinct flavour, hence I wanted to preserve the same and offer something scrumptious yet authentic. Hence I decided to play gently with flavours to maintain originality and offer newness.
Right! So the idea was hatched and then it was time to execute this idea with perfection to see if the recipe tastes as good as I am thinking.
Whilst I was getting my grocery list arranged for the ingredients, I bumped into Zest & Zing spices and thought let me try these premiums spices. Zest & Zing offers freshly prepared spices and comes in cute bottles with even much cute wooden spoon. I found the sort of spices I wanted (in this case Tandoori and Thai), and was happy to see the packaging. Now the question was, I am going to do a bit of experiment, are these spices good enough? Or should I stick to my traditional spices? I braved… and I used these spices, however I did also try the same with my normal spices, just to find out the differences. (Note: I will be sharing recipe with regular spices at a later date)
My verdict is that Zest and Zing spices are really good and really offer the authentic taste. You do not need to worry about sorting the key ingredients, its all freshly packed in right proportions and ready to use. I am not sure if you will get these spices delivered in your country and in which case, you can use my other recipe (I will be sharing it at a later date).
Without much ado, let me get to the recipes. These are two separate recipes (Tandoori Egg Noodles and Green Thai Curry) and you can cook the same with various other combinations, i.e. Tandoori Noodles with Veg Manchurian, or Green Thai Curry with rice or Butter Naan (that’s like a new combination to try).
