Black Chana Chaat | Black Chickpea Chaat recipe

Black chana chaat recipeChickpea chat or Chana chaat is a popular street food, especially in northern part of India. You can make this with white chickpeas or fresh green chickpeas, or black chickpeas. I am using these black chickpeas only for one reason, that I like it these black chickpeas 😀

Soak chana overnight, and then you can get this protein rich snack ready in minutes. I still remember my childhood days when my mom used to give overnight soaked chickpeas to me and my brother in morning, thanks to its protein content.

This chana chat is a great lunch box meal for kids, simply soak chickpeas, boil it (or can skip if you don’t liked boiled ones), top up with onion, boiled potatoes, tomatoes and lemon juice, that is it! Of course you can add other veggies too like beetroot, cucumber, avocado, etc.
